My Toshiba laptop finally died last Wednesday.
R.I.P Toshibby (2003-2007).

Went down to Sim Lim during lunch last Thursday with an IT expert to scout for a new rig. Met the TCHSbros for dinner on Thursday night as a farewell for PussyJus who is now away in London for a month. Wonder who's gonna watch cloudy study and tuck her into bed at night. Anyways I told MF, the comp expert, abt my hunt for a new rig. He offered his expertise to help me build my new rig.

So we went down to Sim Lim on Friday to buy the parts. And he manage to fix up my new computer by Saturday noon. Just in time man. Thanks MF! Shall post pics of my new rig when I'm able to. Currently, there's no digicam at home.

The period of laptopless days were pretty bad. I've always known that my comp usage is high, but I didn't know I was so dependent on my Toshibby. During those few days, I realised the importance of my dopod. As such, I've decided to remove it from Yahoo! Auctions. Good job in proving your worth man.

Went for a last minute 3 in 1 foot spa yesterday with Sam. Foot detox, foot scrub, and foot massage. All done in 1.5hrs. Alot of funny things happened, as always. When you're with Sam, there's never a moment without anything funny happening. My family loves her priceless humour, whether she means it or not.

Anyways, it feels good to be back in the club. I should start taking a back seat in life and regain my laidback attitude. Been kinda jumpy and easily irritated nowadays. Perhaps its the company I'm having. OR MAYBE ITS MID-LIFE CRISIS!?!

Went to Yishun stadum last night with Sam. It was a sudden spur of the moment thing. We went to watch our first ever S-league match! It was between Korean Super Reds and Gombak United.

The two hardcore gamblers went to place some bets on the match before travelling all the way to Yishun. Sam took Gombak to win and I took total goals 3 and 4.

Here's the final score and match report courtesy of Todayonline.com.

Huat arr! Paid two bucks each for the entrance tickets (usually 5 bucks for adults but we bought student tics). What an exciting match (only the second half) it was. I think we'll be supporting more local football as well as watching the horseys at Kranji. But I'll have to learn how to bet on horse racing first.

And we've made plans to catch an EPL match in the near future. May that day come soon!

*Disclaimer: Not haolianing hor. Just amazed by beginner's luck.

Its Friday!

Been pretty busy nowadays. Work, attending courses, plus soccer season has started. Currently I'm pretty into hokkien songs as well as those old tunes (both Chinese and English and various languages) blasting from That CD Shop at Pacific Plaza.

I told Sam that those are the tunes that will be blasting from my own house's stereo next time. And I will be sitting comfortably at the balcony, basking in the sunlight, reading my newspaper/book, drinking my morning cup of tea, etc. Its only when you start working that you realise how important it is to plan for your retirement life. 'cos thats probably the next phase of life where you'll be free as a bird.

I always have alot of stuff to blog about Sam whenever I meet her. She's just so funny and amusing. But I just can't find the time to blog and now I can't remember. Keep up the entertainment value Sam!

Some Signs That I'm Getting Old

1. I drink hot drinks during meals instead of coke or teh peng.

2. People go Paul Van Dyk, I go watch Getai.

3. People watch football at pubs, I watch football at coffeeshop.

4. I learn more about CPF, meet Financial Planners, and talk about Politics.

5. I dunno why I'm still blogging.
