I'm currently watching season one of Lost. Yep, I know I'm kinda outdated. But I've been following every single episode of The OC, Desperate Housewives, and the countless animes. Adding Lost to that will be pure suicidal. So since its the hols now, I'm watching all the serials that I haven't manage to catch. Oh if you guys like Southpark, you should check out Family Guy which is just as funny.

Anyways back to Lost. I'm pretty sure most of you will know that its about the survivors of a plane crash who are lost on a deserted island somewhere out there. So what do they do? A group of them decided to just sit by the beach, curse and swear at their bad luck, pray + wait and hope that people will come to rescue them. The other group decides to move into the jungle where there's shelter and fresh drinkable water. Just in case you are wondering, sea water is not drinkable. Ok so in short, one group decides to just wait and hope; the other decides to get on with their life by building shelters, hunting for food, etc etc.

This got me wondering.. which group will I join? I wasn't sure at first but after recent happenings, I think I'll join the getting-on-with-life group. Obviously the natural reaction is to pray and hope that rescuers will come. But, after so many days, nobody came. Staying at the beach risks being attacked by wild animals at night and the harsh weather. But, if there's a passing ship or aircraft, at least there's a chance you'll be spotted. On the contrary, staying in the jungle means its harder to get spotted but there'll be shelter and drinking water. The natural resources of the island will allow you to get on with life, even though that may not be the life you wanna live.

Perhaps life will be much easier and full of hope if you just sit and wait and pray and hope. But, what are the chances? You might as well buy 4D, Toto or Big Sweep. Afterall, when you buy you got hope; if you don't you got no chance. But no, that's just not me. I saw a tee-shirt at Giordano that said "Winners make it happen; Losers let it happen". How apt.

So what will you do if you're one of the people in Lost?
