Comfort Delgro is simply brilliant. Just in case you guys do not follow the news (*points at carynkohjia*), Comfort Delgro has announced that taxi fares will increase from next monday onwards. The new flag down fare will be $2.50, and the peak hour surcharge will be $2. Other than these, the way the meter jumps will be faster because they are also gonna change the rate. I can't remember the exact figures, but in short, your 10 cents will travel less from next Monday onwards.

So why do I say that they are brilliant? No, it is not because of the (lame) reasons they gave for the taxi fare hike. I have my own (not lame) reasons for complaining about the fare hike. They are brilliant because of the way they pacify the public. Comfort Delgro has announced that the peak hour surcharge for Saturdays will be abolished because of the 5 day work week thingy. I bet that when they announced this, they were expecting us to say 'That's hot' (just like Paris Hilton would). Tmd. With the extra $1 they earn from every peak hour passenger from Mon-Fri, taxi uncles can stay home and shake leg on Saturday morning and watch Digimon on Kids Central.

Haha you think that the taxi uncles are poor thing work so hard let them earn more abit won't die right. Please lah. With the increasing rental costs for taxis, you think the increased charges will end up where? With Comfort Delgro la. They are fucking slavedrivers man. A few months ago they say they are gonna increase the retirement age of cabbies so that the old folks will have income too. If you look at the way these old people die, i mean drive, they should just stay home and rest. Haven't you seen old old old cabbies dying, i mean driving, on the roads, peering through their thick glasses sitting as close to the windscreen as possible so that they can see more clearly driving in the middle of two lanes 'cos they cannot see the white lines etc etc? Please lah Comfort Delgro don't let them die, i mean drive. Spare a thought for other road users can?

On a totally different topic, there was this oh-i'm-so-freaking-smart-and-observant-lady who wrote to the ST forum and said that insurance companies should charge higher premiums for black colour cars 'cos the drivers of black cars are more reckless etc etc and get into more accidents than other colour cars. I say fuck shit lah you. If you wanna talk about statistics, go check out how many black color cars are registered with LTA. I can tell you that for every other color car that you see on the road, there'll be two or three black cars around it. Don't believe? Go check out the carparks. Since there are so many black cars out there, isn't it more likely that there'll be a few black sheeps (pardon the pun) within the black cars? If you wanna know what colour are the dangerous cars.. they are the blue ones, yellow top black body ones, yellow ones and white ones.
