Do Christians download pirated music?
This question popped up inside my head during tutorial today 'cos we were discussing about how it is quite hard to change people's attitudes towards downloading pirated music.
It seems that even though people know that downloading pirated music is wrong, they still go ahead for many reasons. It is free, it is readily available, it doesn't feel so wrong.. or does it?
I'm sure we've all seen the advertisment that says 'you wouldn't steal from blah blah blah, you wouldn't steal a blah blah blah, piracy is stealing blah blah blah blah blah..'
Since we all know that downloading pirated music and movies and tv shows is piracy, and piracy is equivalent to stealing, so then do Christians download pirated music or movies or stuff?
I bet you that they do. Just because it is not so frown upon by the society thats why Christians continue to download. Should one day people's attitudes change towards piracy, I tell you, the pastor will start preaching about it for weeks and ban their church followers from downloading. 'Cos to them, it is about doing the right thing in God's eyes.
But, what constitutes to the so-called God's eyes? God, here, seems to be just the general public's upright opinion about a certain matter. Do you think God approves of piracy?
Doesn't this tells you so much about the many Christian beliefs? And how they originated? The 7 deadly sins. Think again. Are they really that sinful? If so, isn't piracy equivalent to any of the 7?
I'm so disillusioned.. muahahahahaha
