There's a thin line between having fun and being insensible.
Ever seen
Jackass the movie?
Riding a motorbike may seem fun. But having a distant relative who died riding someone's bike as the pillion rider is not. She was quite a pretty girl. I only got to see her once a year on the first day of Chinese New Year at my uncle's place. She was a few years older than me, and was studying in NTU when she got into an accident on her bf's bike.
Riding a motorbike may seem fun. But when you get a call late at night from a close buddy who got into a bike accident is not. I can still remember how he looked when I went to visit him at the hospital the next morning. Furthermore, it wasn't his fault. He was in the blindspot of a van, and when the van swerved, so did he and his bike.
Riding a motorbike may seem fun. But when I think of the countless motorcyclists who I nearly killed while I drive is not. I always try my very best to check my blindspots when I drive. Heck I even bother to turn my head to check. How many drivers actually bother to check? Even with the precaution I take, countless motorcyclists have nearly died in my hands.
Lastly, there's a thin line between caring too much and being unsupportive. My bad.
