I read somewhere before that God appears in our lives all the time, just whether we know how to recognise him or not. Half an hour ago, God appeared in front of me. In the form of the Indian pump attendant.

I went to pump my petrol. I got off the car and there He was in the cap and uniform. He said, "Hello sir, full tank for you sir?" So I told him no I just needed 30 bucks worth of petrol.

I went to the counter but the cashier wasn't there. So I browsed through the magazine section and picked up a magazine. I decided to buy it and I was waiting at the counter. Then He came back in. So I said to him "Wah one person only?" He explained that His cashier went to the toilet. He scanned the magazine and asked me how I'm gonna pay. I said I'll pay by Visa so He went to call His cashier 'cos He doesn't know the number to dial for Visa payments. Then His cashier came back but He was outside attending to other customers. The cashier took my card and did everything. Then her handphone rang so she answered it. Then she gave me the receipt to sign and I just signed without looking 'cos it was freaking late and I was freaking tired so I couldn't be bothered. After that I left and He even said goodbye to me with a big wide smile. When I got home, I looked at the receipt. I was only charged 5 bucks for the magazine.

Shit man. I actually rejected His goodwill. I should've pumped a full tank's worth of petrol. Lately, the increasing petrol prices have been troubling me. There He was, standing in front of me with his outstretch hands. I can't believe that I turned Him away..
