Peer pressure. Its
evil. Its hard to say no to. Often, people believe that it'll bring u greater friendships. However sometimes, it may work against you.
Remember the recent CNB (Central Narcotics Bureau) advertisement? About this guy and his so-called "brothers". How they
bai tian shi students, wan shang shi brudda (students by day, brothers by night). And how they got caught for taking drugs and in the end, none of his bros came to visit him in the rehab. Yup that is peer pressure.
Accusations of you being a pang seh king/queen, always flying ppl's aeroplane, etc never fails to make one feel bad. However, if you do have a reason for pang seh-ing/flying aeroplane, your true friends will understand. And half the time, they'll exert abit of pressure on you for fun by calling you names to make you feel bad. But in the end, true friends understand.
However, who will understand and who will not? Who should be understanding and who should not? Its true that people who are closer to you and more important to you should be more understanding.
But, if they are closer to you and more important to you, shouldn't it be justifiable to pang seh/fly the other person's aeroplane instead?
If you think that things you do to a friend can make him/her feel bad, the same things you do to your closer friend will make him/her feel
doubly worse. Yes I know I may be wrong.
Its a warped world.
