I have this ability to spin a tale out of absolute rubbish and people actually buy it. Well I dunno if it works on you guys but it sure does for
ryN*. But sometimes this ability will backfire, especially when she uses this acquired 'knowledge' (which is just recollecting what I told her without questioning or doubting my words) to act smart in front of others. It is very embarassing when she tries to act smart in front of people who are real smart, and then she just conveniently gives me credit for 'teaching' her all that.
Anyways the other day I got an overseas call from Hong Kong. Apparently its the casting director of the coming movie
Initial D which stars Jay Chou, Edison Chen, Shawn Yue, Jordan Chan, Anthony Huang, just to name a few. The casting director said that Jay Chou was injured while shooting a stunt and that he wants me to take over Jay Chou's role as Takumi Fujiwara - the star of the show. I asked him why he chose me and he said that he saw videos of me driving my
black Mazda RX7 (FC3S). I realised he was talking about the one time where I got caught by the red light camera but I managed to do a drift and so the camera only caught my side view. And also the one time of my rain battle at PIE towards Changi along Paya Lebar with the
blue Nissan Skyline GTR (BNR32). Yes, those two times.
The casting director said there was a problem though, that because Edison Chen will be playing Ryosuke Takahashi and that there is a strong resemblance between me and Edison, so they're confused as to bringing me in as Keisuke Takahashi - Ryosuke's brother, or to bring me in as Takumi (but how can Takumi and Ryosuke look alike??).
In the end, I told the casting director that I'm sorry I can't accept his offer 'cos I only wanna act with
Ruby Lin and I have a casting session for a role in
Huan Zhu Ge Ge 4 which clashes with the filming period of
Initial D.
Its 6pm now and I just woke up from my afternoon nap and the weather is terribly hot. No wonder I'm still groggy maciam like in dreamland.
